Home use finger rehabilitation support device for hemiplegic patients

For hemiplegic patients, it is important to continue rehabilitation after leaving hospital. Especially, paralysis at finger needs long and continuous rehabilitation.

Our finger rehabilitation support device is designed to foster separation of finger movements. It asks a patient to raise an index finger. The finger sensors monitor the degree of unwanted movements found at fingers. The patient is given feedback by a calculated degree of recovery. Also, the patient who could not raise an index finger is given visual feedback by being raised his/her finger via motor. The device is used at home without help by therapists.
